Tag--You're it!

Jennie Bender tagged me!

7 random things about me...

1. When I was a baby, I rolled off the table. My dad had been wrapping his burned hand with gauze while my mom was running to the bathroom with my sick brother. I think this may explain alot! ;-) My mom took us all to the hospital, and the nurse just said, "Which one?!"

2. I played percussion for 9 years. (Yes, I was on the drumline too!) My friend, Josh and I competed for first chair from 8th grade through 12th grade. We ended up co-section leaders for the last two years of high school. I guess I would still play if the opportunity presented itself (orchestrated percussion--not a drum set!! :-))

3. Bill and I met in the marching band in High School (He plays the Saxophone!!)

4. I have always had doxen dogs, and I think I always will!! They're my favorite animal! We had Zack (short for Zaccheous--the wee little dog), my parents still have Sadie, and now Bill and I have Clover!

5. Since Kindergarten I wanted to be a teacher--the Lord allowed me the opportunity last year! I supposed I'll be "teaching" for the rest of my life once this little one comes!

6. I will be setting my table with real china this Saturday night at the International Banquet. This is the first time ever I have set a table with real china!

7. My favorite type of book is Historical Fiction. (Usualy with a romantic twist!)

Now I am supposed to tag 7 others to list 7 random things about themselves, each with their own twist, so here goes:

Shannon's Mom said...

I just have to comment and clear up the comment about Shannon falling off the table incident!

Shannon was about 6 months old and she was sick. Her Dad had injured his eye at work - he had a piece of metal that had scratched his cornea - so he had a big eye patch (he looked like a pirate!) Steven, Shannon's brother - 3 years old, had the flu. The plan was to give Shannon her medicine by laying her down on the table - because she spit it out if I sat her up. At the same time I gave her the medicine, Steven had severe projectile vomiting behind me. I turned around to put the garbage can in front of him, Dad walked in at the same time with his eye thing going on, and Shannon decided to turn over to see what was going on and she flipped onto the kitchen floor! Needless to say, I was worried she injured her head from the fall. I rushed to the hospital with them all in tow and upon arriving, the nurse asked who needed help first - Dad with the eye, Steven was still throwing up, and Shannon was crying! I said it was the baby crying. Well, they ran tests on Shannon and they said she was okay. However, the big joke in the family is that Shannon is really not okay!

Just Kidding! Love you Shannon very much - I bet you are surprised that you mother actually posted a comment on your blog site! (Sammy helped me!) See you next week!
