Happy Birthday Shannon!

Bill is the best husband ever! He made my birthday so special yesterday. :-) I came home to the wonderful oh-so-good fragrance of Funfetti (Confetti) cake baking, the house decorated with balloons, streamers and party hats, and a big gift and a little gift. He's so thoughtful...here are the pictures from the evening.

Bill with the house decorated...

My favorite present...a Snoogle pillow!

Then he took me to Regas for dinner! It was our first time going, and we will definitly go again. The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious! We found out that Clover is not so fond of balloons...she's circling this one.
The Confetti cake is done! It is soo yummy! My mom used to make this cake for all of my birthdays. It is my all time favorite.

Thanks for checking in on us! I've added a little tag at the bottom of the website to track Baby G's growth. :-)

Mr. and Mrs. Erik Schumann

Last weekend Bill and I went to Cleveland for my sister's wedding! Samantha was a beautiful bride! She and Erik were the first couple married at Frostville Church in the Metroparks since it has been relocated and renovated. Samantha's new in-laws were responsible for the majority of the project. Click Here to view the renovation and read the history of the church.

Anyway, the cermony was great. Everything was beautiful...nothing out of the ordinary. Sammy and Erik rented a horse and carriage to take them away. (Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures from it since I left my camera in Knoxville. Bill arrived Saturday after I was over at my parent's house with Sammy, so I didn't get to use the camera until the reception. Oh well.) The photographer has his pictures of the whole day up on his website. Click here to see her day.

I was thankful to be her Matron of Honor. I love my sister dearly, and I am praying for Sammy and Erik! I know he'll take care of her. Here are some pictures I took from the reception:

Not the greatest close up, but this is our fav pose. :-)

The cake. (Sammy's colors were orange, pink and yellow)

The cake on Sammy. This was interesting...Erik got so into smashing the cake on her face that (from what I could see) she ended up on the floor with cake all over her. I think she loved every minute of it!

My mom is supposed to send me some more pictures, so maybe you'll get to see those sometime. (hint hint, Mom ;-) )

Not Teaching? :-)

I was stopped tonight by a friend who heard I wasn't teaching this year. I confirmed it, I am not teaching...I am going to miss the students day in and day out. I really loved seeing their brains stretch as I'd ask a question to get them thinking. I even loved it more when they'd give such intelligent answers! So, words out, I am not teaching this year...

Why you might ask? If I really will miss it, why not continue? Well, we found out about a little someone that will change our lives...even more than what I do day in and day out...We're going to have a baby!! (Not an April fools joke this time!)

This little one should be making his or her debut mid-February. We also decided we're going to keep the "his or her" part a surprise! Bill and I love surprises, and the suspense will be wonderful!

Well, little one, you are all ready loved by many, being prayed for by many, and we can't wait to meet you!! (In the picture below he/she was ten weeks along, we are thirteen now. The head is on the right, feet on the left and the cord is up the middle. The back is along the bottom of the picture.)
